Residence and Work Permit in the Republic of Turkey for Foreigners

A-) Short-Term Residence Permit

 A short-term residence permit is issued for foreigners who request a stay in Turkey for a long time or longer than the visa exemption period. A short-term residence permit can be applied for foreigners who meet the conditions that we will specify below.

1 – Those who have real estate assets in Turkey or have a share in real estate
2 – Those who request an accommodation to establish a business connection or business in Turkey
3 – Foreigners who will participate in the in-service training program
4 – Those who request an accommodation for scientific research
5 – Those located for tourism purposes
6 – Foreigners who want to stay for a student exchange program in the context of agreements to which the Republic of Turkey is a party
7 – Foreigners who will be engaged in research, education, and purposeful internship work through public institutions and organizations
8 – Those who have completed their higher education at a university in the Republic of Turkey and applied within six months from the date of graduation
9 – Turkish language learning courses for the purpose of learning Turkish
10- Investors
11 – They will be treated
12 – Those who have switched from a family residence permit to a short-term residence permit

AA-) Documents Required for a Short-Term Residence Permit (GENERAL)

The following documents are common to all short-term residence permit applications

1- Residence permit Application Form
2- Passport
3- 4 biometric photos
4- Declaration that you have sufficient and regular financial opportunities during your stay
5- Receipts for payment of residence fees and card fees
6- Valid Health Insurance

EU-)Documents Required for a Short-Term Residence Permit (PRIVATE)

1-) For those who will come for the reason of scientific research
a-) A visa by its purpose, obtained from the representative offices of the Republic of Turkey
b-) An official, signed, and a sealed document indicating the duration and place of the research to be carried out

2-) Those who have real estate in Turkey
a-) An official, signed, and sealed deed of title, which indicates that the residence belongs to a person

3-) They will establish a commercial business or connection
a-) Invitation letter to be received from the person or company to be contacted,
b-) Notarized company activity certificate,
c-) Notarized tax sheet,
d-) Notarized trade registry gazette,
e-) Notarized signature circulars

4-) They will participate in the in-service training program
a-) The duration of the training to be taken from public institutions or organizations where in-service training will be observed
and a signed, stamped, and a sealed document indicating the location
5-) Foreigners who want to stay for a student exchange program in the context of agreements to which the Republic of Turkey is a party
a-) Signed, stamped, and sealed training certificate / AIESEC certificate to be obtained from the institutions or organizations where the training will be held

6-) For foreigners who will stay for tourism purposes
a-)Information or document on the travel plan and accommodation at the request of the administration

7-They will be treated
a-) Admission to the hospital will be taken from public or private hospitals where treatment will be provided
a document signed by the chief physician of the relevant hospital and a physician indicating the duration of treatment, indicating that the registration has been made and treatment has been started

a-) Photocopy of the previous residence permit document
b-) Court decision on divorce
c-) Death certificate of the promoter

9-) Participants in Turkish language learning courses to learn Turkish
a-) A visa issued by foreign representative offices of the Republic of Turkey in accordance with its intended purpose
b-) Training to be obtained from an institution or organization authorized to provide a Turkish language course document

10-) Foreigners who will be engaged in research, education, and internship purposeful work through public institutions and organizations
a-) It will be taken from public institutions or organizations where training, research, internship, or course will be taken
a signed, sealed and stamped document indicating the duration and location of the program

11-) Those who have completed their higher education in Turkey and applied within six months

B-) LONG-TERM RESIDENCE PERMIT

The Long-Term residence permit is regulated by Articles 42-45 of the Law Dec Foreigners and International Protection No. 6458. Found in Turkey with a residence permit for at least eight years of uninterrupted residence ( not deductions that do not exceed 180 days )or bearing on the qualifications required by the terms set by the Ministry of strangers again by the governor with the approval of the ministry indefinite residence permit can be arranged. C- WORK PERMIT

To work in Turkey, foreign citizens are obligated to obtain a permit from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security or other relevant institutions granting them residence and work permits. Foreigners who want to get a work permit can apply to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security at home and to the embassies or consulates-general of the Republic of Turkey in the country where they are citizens abroad. An application for a work permit is submitted to the relevant Ministry to deliver the necessary documents. In case of a positive response to the application by the Ministry, the required tuition fees must be deposited. After that, the work permit is approved.
